Today I came across interesting and somewhat sad news of “Bobby fischer’s life for sale on eBay”. I have read and studied his games and I truly believe that he was one of the greatest (and mysterious) chess players. The material may be important because after 1971, Fischer had reached a stage in chess where he felt there was no challenge left on the defined games of chess within those 64 squares and he had actually proposed some innovations to the game to make it more challenging.
On a side note, I somehow think Boris Becker and Bobby Fischer had one very important thing in common. Both these players introduced psychological aspects to their respective sport. Boris Becker had the habit of identifying key points of the game and so did Bobby Fischer. Another pair of sports personalities is Pete Sampras and Gary Kasparov. Both great players and will be rated strongest players in the history of their game. They were ruthlessly dominating and had complete games. They may not be the most popular but very effective and their results have been the best in their sport.
